What is a medical copywriter?

A medical copywriter writes medical or health-based content for digital or print materials, with the goal to persuade their reader to take action (a call to action ‘CTA’).

They check the content they produce is evidence-based and accurate at the time of writing.

As a medical copywriter, I have written:

  • scripts for videos
  • print materials for marketing products, such as business cards, leaflets and flyers
  • website copy for online doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and health apps
  • social media content for Instagram

Medical copywriting is the fun and creative side of medical writing. It’s a versatile and dynamic career which I enjoy very much.
